Alright, I told ya’ll that I would still be posting my usual articles about how great our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is. Didn’t I? I did. And isn’t he? HE IS! Jesus is more than just our savior he is our Lord AND Savior. And that word LORD means that he is RULER of our life.
Now don’t be alarmed y’all. That’s not a bad thing, that’s not a bad thing at all! If you know anything about me, you know that I 100% believe that ALL things happen for a reason and for a purpose. Oftentimes, that reason is a GOOD reason and that purpose is a GOOD purpose. I’ve said it once and I will say it again. I would rather have GOD ruler of my life than myself. Because think about it. He holds the whole world, in his hands. He knows every hair on our heads, he knew us from our mothers womb. Before we were even BORN he first loved us! How did he do that you ask? Well, for one. He gave his LIFE so that you and me could have LIFE eternal! Isn’t that amazing? I think it is.
It Shall NOT Prosper!
So today’s post is titled “NO WEAPON FORMED” and the reason being, is this. I was in the Bible the other day and I was reading – you guessed it. Isaiah 54:17 this will probably come as a very familiar passage of scripture for some of you and if it isn’t. Then this is a great verse to know, learn and hold close to you and hide in your heart.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. – Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
I absolutely LOVE that very first line of that verse. The Bible tells us that NO weapon that is formed against us shall prosper! If that doesn’t make you wanna stand up (if you are seated) and shout HALLELUJAH from where you are – then I don’t know what will! Our God is an AWESOME God, he is in charge of the wind, seas and air. He gives and he takes away and this is a PROMISE that he has given us. It doesn’t matter how hard the enemy comes against you. It doesn’t matter how hard people try to bring you down, it does not matter how bad the situation may seem. I’m telling you… NO the Bible is telling YOU! NO WEAPON! On hell or in earth shall prosper against you. That’s mighty powerful stuff right there, if I do say so myself.
Every Tongue That Shall Rise:
This just keeps getting BETTER and BETTER! Not only will NO WEAPON that is formed against fail to prosper. The Bible also tells us that EVERY tongue that shall RISE against you in judgement, you shall condemn! Come on y’all! Get excited! God is watching out for us! He is our refuge! He is our strong tower! He is our defender, Jehovah JIREH! He is our PROVIDER! He will not fail us, he will not mislead us or tell us wrong. If we are trusting in him and following his truth, listening to his voice. He will be right there with us every single step of the way and he will never leave nor forsake us. Isn’t that incredible? Can you contain your excitement? I can’t! In my spirit I am ready to LEAP through the ceiling and shout out to the world. Glory to the most high God, Jesus Christ of Nazareth! The more I trust in him, the more I listen for that ‘still’ small voice… The more ‘mature’ I become, in him.
It Is Our HERITAGE and Our RIGHTEOUSNESS is of HIM!
HALLELUJAH! “This is the HERITAGE of the SERVANTS of the Lord and their RIGHTEOUSNESS is of me!” This verse is really SO powerful, think about this for a minute. The Bible tells us that his WORD is sharper than ANY two edged sword. So you KNOW that when we hide his WORD in our hearts, there is NOTHING that break us, there is NOTHING that can shake us, there is NOTHING that can move us from that rock solid foundation. Like a tree that is planted by a river, I shall NOT be moved!
Why do we hide the word in our hearts? Because when we know his WORD, when we know his PROMISES to us. The enemy will come in, he will torment, he will pester us and he will be that thorn in our side and he will do everything he in his power to get us to second guess God, but here’s the thing about that. The enemy only has as much power as we will give him. If we have the word hid in our hearts deep enough. We won’t give him any power over us, because we already know that JESUS is the ruler of our life, and JESUS has set us free and In JESUS name – the devil must FLEE!
Because we have a promise, a PROMISE that God has given us in his word that NO weapon that is formed against us shall prosper. Every tongue that shall rise against us in judgement we shall condemn! But that’s not the ONLY promise he’s given us like that. Read his word sometime. It is FILLED with many, many, MANY great beautiful promises like this one. We don’t have to fight alone, we should never be fighting alone. Why would we fight alone? Cast your burdens upon the Lord and he shall sustain thee. (Psalms 55:22 KJV) All ye that labour and are heavy laden – he will give you rest. Take his yoke upon yourself and learn of him, he is meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. (Matthew 11:28-29 KJV)
